How to disable Fast Boot
Fast Boot is a feature that speeds up the boot process by skipping certain hardware initialization steps.
Steps to Disable Fast Boot:
Restart Your PC and enter the BIOS/UEFI settings.
Typically, you need to press a key during startup, such as Del, F2, F10, or Esc. This key may vary based on your motherboard.
Once inside the BIOS/UEFI, look for the Fast Boot option. This is usually found under the following sections:
Boot Menu
Advanced Settings
Power Management
Locate the Fast Boot option and set it to Disabled.
Save Changes and Exit BIOS/UEFI.
Use the key indicated (usually F10) to save and exit the BIOS/UEFI.
How to disable Seccure Boot
Secure Boot ensures that your system boots using only trusted software from the manufacturer. Disabling it is often necessary for installing certain operating systems or booting unsigned drivers.
Steps to Disable Secure Boot:
Restart Your PC and enter the BIOS/UEFI settings.
Again, press the relevant key (Del, F2, F10, Esc, etc.) during startup.
Inside the BIOS/UEFI, navigate to the Boot or Security tab:
This might be labeled as Security, Boot, or Authentication, depending on your system.
Locate Secure Boot and set it to Disabled.
If you cannot access the Secure Boot option, you may first need to set the Boot Mode to Legacy or CSM (Compatibility Support Module) instead of UEFI.
Save Changes and Exit BIOS/UEFI.
Additional Tips:
After disabling Secure Boot, some systems may require you to confirm the action by entering a 4-digit code or taking extra steps to clear the Secure Boot keys.
Keep in mind that disabling Secure Boot may make your system less secure, so itโs only recommended for specific needs like dual-booting or installing custom drivers.
