Troubleshooting Guide

Seccure boot must be disabled

How to disable Seccure Boot

Secure Boot ensures that your system boots using only trusted software from the manufacturer. Disabling it is often necessary for installing certain operating systems or booting unsigned drivers.

Steps to Disable Secure Boot:

  1. Restart Your PC and enter the BIOS/UEFI settings.

    • Again, press the relevant key (Del, F2, F10, Esc, etc.) during startup.

  2. Inside the BIOS/UEFI, navigate to the Boot or Security tab:

    • This might be labeled as Security, Boot, or Authentication, depending on your system.

  3. Locate Secure Boot and set it to Disabled.

    • If you cannot access the Secure Boot option, you may first need to set the Boot Mode to Legacy or CSM (Compatibility Support Module) instead of UEFI.

  4. Save Changes and Exit BIOS/UEFI.

Additional Tips:

  • After disabling Secure Boot, some systems may require you to confirm the action by entering a 4-digit code or taking extra steps to clear the Secure Boot keys.

  • Keep in mind that disabling Secure Boot may make your system less secure, so it’s only recommended for specific needs like dual-booting or installing custom drivers.

Fast boot must be disabled

How to disable Fast Boot

Fast Boot is a feature that speeds up the boot process by skipping certain hardware initialization steps.

Steps to Disable Fast Boot:

  1. Restart Your PC and enter the BIOS/UEFI settings.

    • Typically, you need to press a key during startup, such as Del, F2, F10, or Esc. This key may vary based on your motherboard.

  2. Once inside the BIOS/UEFI, look for the Fast Boot option. This is usually found under the following sections:

    • Boot Menu

    • Advanced Settings

    • Power Management

  3. Locate the Fast Boot option and set it to Disabled.

  4. Save Changes and Exit BIOS/UEFI.

    • Use the key indicated (usually F10) to save and exit the BIOS/UEFI.

Vanguard must be disabled

How to disable Vanguard

Disabling Vanguard, the anti-cheat system for Valorant, involves stopping its services and potentially uninstalling it. Keep in mind that disabling Vanguard will prevent you from launching or playing Valorant until it is re-enabled.

Steps to Disable Vanguard:

  1. Through System Tray:

    • Look for the Vanguard icon in your system tray (bottom-right corner of your screen, near the clock).

    • Right-click the icon and select Exit Vanguard.

    • Confirm the prompt to disable the service. (This will stop Vanguard temporarily until your next system reboot.)

  2. Permanently Stop Vanguard:

    • Press Win + R, type services.msc, and hit Enter.

    • In the Services window, locate vgc (Vanguard).

    • Right-click on vgc and select Stop.

    • To prevent it from starting again, right-click vgc, go to Properties, and set the Startup type to Disabled.

  3. Uninstall Vanguard:

    • Open the Control Panel and go to Programs and Features.

    • Find Riot Vanguard in the list, select it, and click Uninstall.

Important Notes:

  • Re-enabling Vanguard: If you want to play Valorant again, you'll need to reboot your system (if you disabled it temporarily) or reinstall Vanguard if uninstalled.

  • Disabling or tampering with Vanguard may violate Riot Games' terms of service, so proceed cautiously and only for legitimate purposes.

Lexis keeps unloading whilst playing

This is caused by your ISP limiting the responses from the Lexis auth. Try using . If that doesn't work then try using a VPN.
